The grind was incomplete so I spent several hours perfecting the edge. This is a belt knife for the woods. The Kansbol is a top product, period. The lack of a thumb ramp means it'd still be awkward. I have just joined the Mora club with my own recently purchased Kansbol. Mora Kansbol Belt Sheath: Above is a studio shot that I took of my and Eldris. I will just slip it down along a flat area of my pack.

The lanyard hole is a welcome addition, as is the modified sheath design. Making sparks from a ferrocerium rod or scraping some wood shavings off for tinder is very easy with the sharp edged 90 degree spine. This combination makes it a real all-round knife and a reliable partner in the forest, or when hiking, hunting or on the lake. I watched the blade on the kansbol bending at one point as I was going through a knot. It is supplied with a polymer sheath with belt loop.

Paired with a heavier knife, it's excellent. The Kansbol also made huge sparks from a ferrocerium rod with the 90 degree spine grind. You're probably going to want a new sheath even though the stock sheath is comparatively superior to the older ones. The only thing I'm afraid of doing with it is prying with the tip. The knife was razor sharp right out of the box and I was also impressed by the simple but very durable sheath that holds the knife firmly in place. I'm preparing for a 3 day 2 night 30 miler, so 10 miles a day. Not counting your axe or saw of course. Manufactured to a very high standard and superbly designed. All positives that push towards this being one of the must-buy Mora's. The handle is a little chunkier, which I like and the sheath is an improvement allowing me to leave the frog on my belt and stow the knife in my pack when I don't need it.

Sorry to disappoint, but I have no cool pictures of me cutting up veggies for my much loved chicken soup. Between the Chogan, the Kansbol and my Silky F180 I would say I am set. Long gone are the days of buying a Mora Classic or Companion and having to put your own 90° spine on it…Thanks Mora! It's got the flexibility of a light weight knife and the durability of a stronger one. Bent it back and all was fine. It works well for slicing food items and skinning game. However, the did not come close to giving up. All the knives are made to be used and the designers are clearly outdoor enthusiast themselves.

Handle has rubber texture for a secure grip. And our constant repetition is extremely important. Feel of the Mora Kansbol Feel In Hand: The feel of the is excellent. I think Mora did a great job on this knife. It missed 5 stars because it came dull. Somehow the release of the Kansbol slipped under my radar, and I just started looking at the Garberg and Kansbol a couple weeks ago. The Morakniv Kansbol is an all-round tool designed for any situation.
